CHERWELL LEAGUE
THERE is every chance that three teams will be relegated from each of the Cherwell League’s top nine divisions this year.
League rules dictate that two teams are sure to go up, but the number of relegated teams will be determined by what happens higher up the cricketing pyramid.
And that’s bad news for teams near the bottom of all the league’s divisions, because Shipton-under-Wychwood and Thame Town could both be relegated back to the Cherwell from the Home Counties Premier League Division 2 West.
If only one comes back down, it will be two up, two down throughout the Cherwell.
But it will be two up, three down if both Shipton and Thame are relegated.
