Chipping Norton need just one and a half more points to be sure of the Shaw & Co Oxfordshire Foursomes League Section 1 title.
And they should get them from their final match at relegated Studley Wood on Saturday after slipping to a 2-1 defeat at Oxford City last week.
If Studley cause an upset, Tadmarton Heath and City, who play each other, could conceivably take the title, but both need whitewashes.
Andy Johnson and Tim Reynolds won Chippy's point against Oxford after defeating John Summers and Will Peddie 2 & 1.
Saturday's other match in Section 1 will also be interesting as the loser of Frilford Heath versus Ellesborough will also go down.
The Section 2 title race is almost too close to call, with Drayton Park, Burford and North Oxford separated by just half a point.
Burford are in the driving seat as they have two games to play, but their first is against North Oxford on Saturday.
Drayton went top of the table thanks to a 2-1 victory at The Oxfordshire.
Their third pair of Andy Griffiths and Joe Pepperell were two down with five holes to play, but won the next four against Craig Hinton and Gary Pickering to take the match.
