Cheney School enjoyed a double success in Oxford Cricket Club’s Chance to Shine competition.
They won the secondary schools’ boys’ eight-a-side hard ball and the girls’ eight-a-side kwik cricket tournaments.
Cheney’s boys defeated The Oxford Academy by 59 runs before easing past Cherwell School’s score of 36 to take the title.
Cherwell, The Oxford Academy and Oxford Spires Academy won one game each.
In the girls’ competition, Cheney scored more than 250 on both occasions as they defeated Oxford Spires Academy and Cherwell School.
