Didcot Barramundi’s Ollie Ripley braved very choppy conditions to win the junior title at the South East Regional Open Water Championships in Southsea.

The 13-year-old swam three laps around a wave-lashed 2km course in a time of 35mins 14 secs to finish fifth overall.

Kidlington's Joseph Parsons won a hat-trick of golds and a quartet of silvers in the Bletchley Open Gala in Aylesbury.

Parsons also finished runner-up in the top boy award to complete an excellent day.

Caitlin Brown won three gold medals and a silver, while Owen Blackford took two gold, two silver and a bronze.

Jamie Ward won a triple gold, while Amy Broome and Shellie Evans completed the gold rush.

Witney's Laura Perry and Eleanor Elder struck gold at the Reading Novices Sychronised swimming competition.

Also in the individuals, Charlie Critchley won silver, while Bekah Mann and Josephine Marinho won bronze in the figures competition.

The team also won a gold medal in the 9-19 year old combination event.
