Newcomers Windrush shocked defending champions Headington A in the opening round of Division 1 of the Five Disciplines League.
Nick Raven and Vicky Ashdown opened with a shakey 25-22 victory over Terry Kirk and Nicola Patrick.
Amber Barrett Wing countered with an easy win, then Dave Soanes took up the reins for Headington again, comfortably beating Will Hartwell.
Patrick and Wing stamped their team's authority on the match by losing only eight points in the women's doubles to open up a 25-point team advantage which Raven and Soanes could not overcome, Windrush running out winners 190-185.
