William Buick was in dreamland after landing a 142-1 treble at Royal Ascot yesterday – highlighted by Fallen For You’s sparkling success in the Coronation Stakes.

The jockey, who lived with his father, Walter, at Letcombe Regis, near Wantage, before becoming retained rider to Newmarket trainer John Gosden in 2010, also struck on Newfangled (Alb-any Stakes) and Gatewood (Wolferton Handicap) for his boss.

Buick said: “It’s fantastic – these are the days that jockeys dream of.

“Just to have a horse that runs well at Royal Ascot is very good.

“To have a winner is fantastic and to have three winners in one day is really amazing.”

Fallen For You (12-1) stormed home by three-and-a-quarter lengths from stablemate Starscope in the Group 1 feature.

And Gosden said: “They went hard up front, there’s a strong headwind and she was just sat there. She is classy, this is not a fluke.”

There was also a winner for The Queen when Estimate took the Queen’s Vase.
