Oxfordshire Under 13s fell to a six-wicket defeat at home to Leicestershire in the ECB County Competition at St Edward’s School.
After winning the toss, the hosts were soon struggling at 8-2 and were grateful to a 45-run partnership between Tom Price (30) and Oliver Morton (19) as they made 108-6 from 40 overs.
Aided by 29 extras, Leicestershire got home in in the 35th over, Jack Tomes the pick of the bowlers with 2-15 from seven overs.
OXFORDSHIRE cruised to a six-wicket victory at home to Bedfordshire in the ECB Under 14 competition – their second successive win moving them up to third in the table.
The Under 15s saw their home match against Leicestershire fall to the weather.
OXFORDSHIRE Under 11 girls were beaten by seven wickets in their friendly against Berkshire at Stonesfield.
Oxon posted 101-8 from their 25 overs, aided by a 49-run fourth-wicket partnership between Jemima Cairns and Jessica Penton.
Sophie Mitchelmore took 2-8 in Berkshire’s reply, but the visitors reached 102-3 with seven overs to spare.
