Ben Thompson with ‘The Box Common’ from St John’s which weighed in at 43.15.0
Ben Thompson travelled up from Bridgwater in Somerset to fish Linear’s St John’s Pool at Stanton Harcourt and caught the carp known as ‘The Box Common’ at a new lake record for a common of 43.15.0.
The 21-year-old enjoyed a successful trip, catching another 20 fish up to 36lb.
He used Essential Baits shellfish B-5 boilies.
Berinsfield carper Phil Warwick, 46, caught a mirror carp of 30.4.0 from Oxlease Lake at Linear on a chocolate-malt boilie – his sixth ‘30’ in ten years from the complex.
