Oxfordshire Over 50s made it two wins and two defeats from their four ECB 50+ County Championship Group A matches with a five-wicket victory over Worcestershire at Droitwich.
Winning the toss, the home county took first use of a damp pitch, making 194-4 from their 50 overs in the face of some tight Oxfordshire bowling.
Ian Curtis’s nine overs cost only 22 runs and Alaistair Thomas went for only 29 in his, while Alex Cunningham chipped in with 2-19.
Opener Ian Caunce got Oxfordshire’s reply off to its usual rapid start with four fours and two sixes in his 40.
Useful contributions followed from Thomas and Malcolm Evans, while a generous 35 extras from the hosts ensured a comfortable victory.
Scores: Worcestershire 50+ 194-4 (50ovs, J Day 79no, C Hemsley 42), Oxfordshire 50+ 197-5 (43.5 ovs, I Caunce 40).
