Darryl Woods will not be playing against his son, Matt, when Oxford Downs host Great & Little Tew in the Oxfordshire final of the Yorkshire Tea Village Cupon Sunday (1pm).

Woods senior will be turning out for the home side, but Tew strike bowler Matt is away celebrating his 21st birthday.

Downs will be skippered by Andy Buckingham, who has recovered from a nasty injury in the semi-final victory over Cumnor last Sunday.

Buckingham damaged four teeth, which required dental surgery, but he has declared himself fit to play.

Great Tew received a walkover from Challow & Childrey in their semi-final.

Tew’s only win in the Oxon final came in 1985 when they beat Downs, only to lose to Frocester in the first national round.
