Oxfordshire started their winter season in scintillating fashion with a 30-6 win against Hampshire at Grove.
Oxon were always in control as they cruised home 220-118 on shots.
On the first run of the mats, the singles saw Trevor Brown win 13-8 and Matt Smith triumph 19-6.
Oxon also won both fours. Mavis Street, Les Woodward, Ray Claridge and Alan Foster romped home 20-3, while Don Sirett, Ted Mills, Bob Barnard, Roger Wiggins eased to a 13-3 success.
Oxfordshire also took all four matches on the second run.
In the pairs, Julian Bradbury and Ernie Street scraped home 11-10, while Geoff Cross, Bob Cummings won 19-7.
Both triples were closely contested, but Oxon gained the verdict in each tie with Mike Keevil, Gloria Smith and Dave Wiggins squeezing in 8-7, and Anne Sirett, Barrie James and Kay Dickson winning 10-8.
On the third run, Brown and Smith again won their singles, 24-6 and 19-6 respectively.
In the fours, Don Sirett, Mills, Barnard and Wiggins won 10-6.
But Oxon's winning streak came to an end as Street, Woodward, Claridge and Foster went down 8-2.
This spurred Hampshire on to share the points on the last run.
Bradbury and Street took their pairs 24-5, while Keevil, Smith and Wiggins won their triples 12-5.
