WHITE Horse Harrier Paul Jégou recorded his second Multi-terrain Marathon victory in five weeks in the South Downs Marathon.
The 553-runner race, which starts at Slidon College near Arundel and follows the South Downs Way to Queen Elizabeth Park near Petersfield, involves climbing a total of 5,278 feet.
Jégou, who was running the race for the fourth time, recorded a winning mark of 3hrs 2min 49sec – some six minutes faster than the second placed runner.
Meanwhile, Jégou’s father, Richard, competed in the Midland Masters Championship at Nuneaton, winning silver medals in the hammer and shot and bronze in the discus.
