A DEPLETED Radley team made it three wins in three matches in their Southern League Division 2C match at Woking.

Missing a number of first-choice athletes, including Osman Muskwe, who was competing in the South of England multi-event championships, Radley triumphed by nine points from hosts Woking.

The athletes rallied around to fill gaps which resulted in Radley extending their lead at the top of the table.

Personal bests were recorded by Chris Hewitt, 15, in the B string 800m (2mins 4.9secs), and Ashley Johnson in the shot (11.67m).

In the final race of the day, the Radley men’s 4 x 400m team of James Cody, David Olusile, Mokganedi Mapanduka and Peter Barnshaw broke the club record with a time of 3.25.6.

For the the ladies, Emma O’Hara got a pb in discus (37.52) and debuts were made by Gina Sunderland (400m), as well as Rosie Kingston and Jess Anstice in the steeplechase.

l OXFORD City won the third round of their Division 2 Central clash at Horspath, beating Vale of Aylesbury by 45 points to top the standings.

David Gain was the leading performer, winning both the men’s A string 100m and 200m.

Other victories came from Matthieu Marshall (800m), Ben Upjohn (1,500m), Ryan Meredith (2,000m steeplechase), Matthew Reece (high jump) and Ian Castle (javelin).

Women A string wins were achieved by Adela Hussain (200m), Rebecca Hussey (400m), Jade Walker (3,000m) as well as the 4x100m and 4x400m relay teams.
