Wayland Honour scored a maximum 180 to help Cowley Workers B secure a tense 5-4 victory away to Greene King Oxford & District Darts Association Section 1 rivals Corner House B.

Wins from Paul Oakley and Honour put Workers 2-0 up, before the home side pulled a game back when Mark Kerry beat Dizio Slezk.

Workers restored their two-point cushion to lead 3-1 as Lyndon Richards defeated Richard Reveley, but Corner House’s Dylan Davies then beat Phil Cook.

Bob Freemire defeated James Harding to put the visitors 4-2 in front.

Despite losing the pairs 2-1, Cowley Workers just hung on for victory.

Rose Hill Community Centre went down 5-4 at Goodlake Arms A.

Playing the pairs first, Rose Hill took a 3-0 lead into the singles.

But this advantage was quickly wiped out as wins for Goodlake’s Mark Breakspear (180), Kevin Wilkins (180) and Les Radford levelled the scores.

Terry Wood’s success over Pete Jones gave the visitors a 4-3 lead.

But the Goodlake fought back to take victory thanks to triple league singles champion Preben Krabben and Mark Pryde.

Section 2’s Folly Bridge Inn got back to winning ways when they triumphed 7-2 at home to George Bar A.

Six Bells hit top form for the visit of Village Inn A in Section 4, winning the singles 6-0 and the pairs 2-1 for a crushing 8-1 success.

Cricketers Arms A ran out 6-3 winners at home to Marston British Legion B in Section 5.

The home side raced into a 3-0 lead thanks to Chris Souch, Chris Myers and Martin Andrews.

Legion reduced the arrears to 3-2 with wins from Andy Warden and Alan Pill, before the home side eased to a 6-3 success as Max McDonald beat Mick Hutt followed by a 2-1 pairs victory.

In Section 6, Kidlington Sports Club hit top form for the visit of Team KRS, cruising to a comfortable 8-1 success.

Chris England scored the losers’ only win.

l Ladies’ Premier League leaders, Nuffield Bar, had to battle hard before securing a 5-4 success away to Section 1 rivals Village Inn.

The hosts took the first game when Katie Moore beat Ruth Stockwell, but Nuffield hit back to lead 2-1 thanks to Irene Richardson and Hazel Prowton.

The villagers levelled at 2-2, with Sam Moore beating Paulette Guy, but Nuffield edged ahead 3-2 as Megan Curtis defeated Cath Pollard.

Caz Chorley beat Nuffield captain Cindy Chalmers to make it 3-3 before two doubles wins saw Nuffield home.
