SKIPPER Wesley Morrick’s six-wicket haul helped roll over Shipton-under-Wychwood for just 65, and set Aston Rowant on the way to a crushing ten-wicket win in Division 2 West at Butts Way.
Morrick made good use of the seamer-friendly conditions after winning the toss and putting the visitors in to bat.
He ripped through Shipton’s batting – which didn’t include captain Simon Hole, who was at a wedding – to return figures of 6-14 off 19 overs. Morrick was ably assisted by Nick Ferraby, who finished with 3-28.
Tim Senior (25) was the only batsman to reach double figures in the Shipton innings.
Rowant openers Chris Watling (34no) and Tim Morgan (32no) then knocked off the runs in 20 overs.
