Jordan Dorrian (King Alfred’s Academy, Wantage) produced the star performance at the Vale of White Horse Athletics Trials at Radley College.
He set the meeting alight by burning up the track to take the senior boys’ 100m in 10.9secs.
King Alfred’s Mitchell Lomas claimed victory in the 1500m in 4mins 25.6secs, while Abingdon School’s Peter Barnshaw took the 800m in 2.06.0.
Radley College’s Bami Ogundeyin recorded a double in the intermediate boys’ competition, taking the 100m in 11.6 and the triple jump with 10.64m.
Christian von Eitzen (European School, Culham) was a runaway winner of the 800m in 2.03.7.
Abingdon School’s Nat Jones raced to a middle-distance double in the junior boys’ competition.
He squeezed home in the 800m in 2.11.5 and also took the 1500m in 4.37.9.
King Alfred’s Zac Smith was first home in the 100m in 12.0.
Molly Thompson (St Helen & St Katharine, Abingdon) starred in the junior girls’ competition with a hat-trick of wins.
She took the 100m in 13.3, the 200m in 28.6 and also added the 75m hurdles in 13.4.
King Alfred’s Faith Brew was an impressive winner of the 1500m, running her rivals ragged to take victory in 5.04.7.
Lucy Hooper (John Mason, Abingdon) delivered a double in the intermediate girls’ 100m in 12.9 and the triple jump with 11.39m.
King Alfred’s Josie Harrison also bagged a brace of wins, taking the 800m in 2.38.5 and the 1500m in 5.15.2.
