DEAN Morgan will continue to be considered for Oxford United after apologising for comments made on Twitter.
The on-loan winger made a series of Tweets on Friday following the conviction of Sheffield United striker Ched Evans for raping a 19-year-old woman.
Morgan later deleted the posts, before Tweeting an apology: “Didn’t mean to offend anybody! Wasn’t talking specifically about that situation, just other things ive (sic) seen in my life. Sorry to all”.
The 28-year-old played the full 90 minutes in United’s 1-1 draw with Plymouth Argyle on Saturday and manager Chris Wilder felt the matter was now closed.
He said: “That was dealt with by the club and Dean. He’s apologised and we’ve moved on from that from my point of view.”
