Linear Fisheries, whose big-fish waters are among the top venues in the country, are staging a major charity event in August in aid of the Milton Keynes branch of the Motor Neurone Disease Association.
The event will be held at their Stanton Harcourt base with fishing on Brasenose One and Two lakes from August 13-15.
Some of the top names in the carp fishing world will be there and the organisers say it will be more of a social event rather than a competition, with food and drink available on site.
Among the top carpers who have agreed to attend are Lee Jackson, Tim Paisley, Ian Russell, Derek Ritchie, Ian Chillcott, Ben and Barry O’Connor, Chris Ball, Bryan Jarrett and many more.
Places will be on a first come, first served basis and a donation of £300 (guideline price) per person will be collected from those invited to attend.
All money donated will go to the charity.
Those wishing to be invited should send their donation of £300 to Linear Fisheries MND Event, 7 Crow Lane, Lower End, Wavendon, Bucks, MK17 8AR.
Cheques should be made payable to MND Association/ Linear.
Food on the Monday and Tuesday evening will be provided free and include a hog roast on the Tuesday, while a free breakfast will also be available on the Tuesday and Wednesday morning.
Alvin Roy and his Jazz Band will perform on Tuesday evening and raffle tickets are on sale, with a top prize of a full year’s fishing on the Linear day ticket waters.
