North Leigh boss Mark Gee has warned his players against complacency when they face Uhlsport Hellenic League side Thame United in the Oxfordshire Senior Cup semi-final at Oxford City tonight (7.45).
Although Thame are mid-table in the Premier Division, Gee says his Evo-Stik Southern League Division 1 South & West play-off chasers, face a difficult test.
Gee, who welcomes back defender Sam Parrish after injury, said: “We have lost only twice in the last 15 games since we beat Oxford United in the last round, so it’s about keeping up the momentum.
“I have seen Thame play this season. They have goals in them, are well organised and have some dangerous players – Alex Stewart and James Faulkner have both played at a higher level. They are going to be tough to beat.”
Thame manager Mark West added: “North Leigh are on a really good run, so it’s going to be difficult, but on our day we are not a bad side.
“But some of our lads will have to have really good games. They are big favourites, but we’re going to have a really good go at it.”
The winners face Oxford City in the final at the Kassam Stadium on Tuesday, April 17.
