Gosford All Blacks gave Berks, Bucks & Oxon Premier Division leaders Drifters a mighty fright before going down 20-16 on their rock-hard Farnham Common pitch.
Two Mark Bannister penalties put the home side ahead, the second coming after winger Ben Bodinham was sin-binned for an over- exuberant tackle.
Alex Rankin’s try, converted by Bannister, made it 13-0 before Tommy Newell reduced the arrears with a try for the All Blacks.
Tim Ellis landed a penalty, but then Bodinham saw red after receiving a second yellow card.
Spirited Gosford roared back after the break, going 16-13 ahead after an Ellis penalty, followed by a try from Harry Sutton.
However, a try from Alan Morgan, converted by Bannister, in the last five minutes, clinched it.
Bicester saw off Swindon College Old Boys 18-8.
All Bicester’s points came in the first half via tries from Dan Spencer (2) and Jack Horwood, Spencer also landing a penalty.
Swindon replied with a James McLaughlin try and Dan Thomas penalty after the break, but Bicester held on.
