Full back Mark Chase bagged five tries and fly half Henry Calver 32 points as Chinnor clocked up 1,000 points for the season in National 3 South West by thrashing Newbury Blues 92-12.
Tries from Pip Seymour, Tom Gray and Liam Gilbert put Chinnor 17-0 clear, before Newbury hit back with two of their own from Josh Love and Max Spencer, Dan Thorne adding a conversion.
From then on, it was one-way traffic.
Chase ran around six defenders to score the bonus-point try under the posts and Alex Waddingham’s try made it 29-12 at half-time.
Matt Goode went over for Chinnor’s sixth try of the day and others followed from Colver (2) and Gilbert.
It then became the Mark Chase Show as he ran in four more tries, before Gray went over to complete the feast.
Chase’s five tries brought his season’s tally to 21 so far, while Calver’s deadly boot landed 11 conversions.
