VIKINGS A are hot favourites to land the Oxford & District League Division 1 title.

A 9-1 victory over clubmates Vikings B means that they are now just two points behind leaders Holton A with a game in hand.

In Division 2, Bicester B are promoted, but blew any outside hopes of winning the title after being held to a 5-5 draw by Vikings D.

However, Bicester C are celebrating after their 10-0 win over Witney and 7-3 victory over Bicester D saw them win Division 3.

At the other end, a dramatic match saw Witney beat Forum H 7-3 to save themselves from relegation and condemn the losers to the drop.

In Division 4, St James are champions, despite a 6-4 reverse against Haddenham B.

Forum J completed their season with a 9-1 win over Vikings H, but can still be caught for second place by Vikings G – although the latter’s bid was not helped by a 7-3 defeat against Bicester E.
