Banbury United manager Ady Fuller says he faces the biggest test since he took over at the helm when they host Frome Town tomorrow.
Fuller, whose side are three points above the Evo-Stik Southern League Premier Division relegation zone, says a win is vital – to stop them being dragged into the mire.
While no one is panicking at Spencer Stadium, Fuller says a win is crucial.
“It’s going to be a tough game because they are going well and haven’t lost many games,” said the former Daventry boss.
“They’re a difficult team to break down and we will have to be at our best to beat them.
“It’s massively important we get three points because it will take us away from the sides at the bottom.
“It’s probably the biggest game since I came here.”
Defender Dan Chilton should return after treatment on the thigh injury which forced him to miss Tuesday’s League Cup final first leg at Clevedon which ended 0-0.
Striker Howard Forinton returns after being unavailable for the trip to Somerset.
Oxford City manager Mike Ford says his players need to show the same mental toughness that has brought them back-to-back wins when they travel to Chippenham Town.
City have climbed up to third as a result – six points clear of sixth-placed Stourbridge.
“It’s been a great week, though the games have been really tough,” said Ford.
“We have played Evesham (a 2-0 win) and Bedford (1-0 victory). Evesham are fighting for their lives at the bottom and Bedford have one of the best away records in the league.
“We were extremely resolute in those two games, and I am looking for us to produce the same level of performance against Chippenham.
“The points are more valuable to us than to them because Chippenham have probably given up the ghost.
“But they got a draw at away at Leamington, so they will come out scrapping.
“We have to ensure we keep doing what we are good at.”
James Clarke and Mark Bell are added to the squad. Clarke missed the Bedford game with a hamstring pull, while midfielder Bell was unavailable.
Tomorrow's squads Banbury Utd (v Frome Tn, home): from Kemp, Thackeray, Kinch, Dolman, Chilton, Coleman, Howell, Cole, Johnson, Forinton, Williams, Blake, Polk, Angus, Richardson.
Oxford City (v Chippenham, away): from Mooney, Clarke, Blossom, Ballard, Pond, Willmott, Benjamin, Learoyd, Basham, Barcelos, Issac, Lyon, Woodley, Martin, Bell, McCloughlin.
