Aftab Hafiz’s quickfire double set Headington Amateurs on the way to a 3-1 home win over Lydney Town in the Uhlsport Hellenic League's Bluefin Insurance Brokers Challenge Cup quarter-final.
He produced a superb chip to give Headington an eighth-minute lead, and then side-footed home Shaun Jacob’s cross seven minutes later.
Hafiz’s cross alllowed Oliver Zaja to make it 3-0 after 58 minutes, before Declan Morley-Lyne pulled one back with a header.
Hafiz had the chance to complete a hat-trick late on, but his penalty struck a post.
Clanfield bounced back from going behind in the first minute to upset newly-crowned Division 1 West champions Tytherington Rocks 3-1 in the Supplementary Cup third round.
Toby Colbourne got the visitors off to a flying start.
But Dan Bishop levelled with a 35-yard cracker after the break, before Jamie Butt’s bullet header and Danny Dixon gave Clanfield victory.
