For the second successive game, North Leigh succumbed to an injury-time goal – in a 2-1 defeat away to Evo-Stik Southern League Division 1 South & West play-off rivals Paulton.
The hosts took the lead after three minutes.
A corner was played short to centre-back Michael Mapstone. His speculative shot-cum-centre found Dan Cleverley, who stabbed home.
North Leigh’s Sam Warrell was the busier keeper in the first half, making saves from Ryan Gay and Craig Loxton.
The visitors stepped up the pressure in the second half. Joe Burnell, Michael Hopkins, Morgan Williams and James Organ all went close, before, in the 85th minute, Tom Franklin headed home the equaliser from a corner.
In injury time, amid a heavy storm, a Paulton free-kick was pumped into the box.
The ball squirmed towards the far post where Paulton sub Lee Bryant toe-ended it into the net.
North Leigh: Warrell, Hole, Organ, Burnell, Franklin, Caton, Sanders (Mills 76), Bowles (Reardon 68), Williams, Osborne-Ricketts, Hopkins. Subs not used: Clark, Crudup, Merriman.
Attendance: 116.
