Old Woodstock Town will have to settle for second place after Tytherington Rocks sealed the Uhlsport Hellenic League Division 1 West title with a 2-0 victory at Carterton.
Woodstock were held to were held to a 2-2 draw at New College for whom Gio Wrona scored both goals. Woodstock netted through Alan Robinson and Murray Nicholls.
Headington Amateurs dropped two points in a 1-1 draw at bottom club Trowbridge.
Liam Morbey put Amateurs ahead after 15 minutes, but Dan Barnett levelled 15 minutes from time.
Clanfield moved into the top half of the table with a 1-0 win away to Cirencester Town Development XI.
The only goal came in the second ghalf when Adam Little volleyed past veteran goalkeeper Steve Hale from the edge of the box.
Letcombe, who followed last week’s 11-0 trouncing by Rayners Lane with a 2-1 midweek win over Thatcham Res, lost 4-1 at Woodley Town in Division 1 East.
They were 3-0 down at half-time before Adam Bruce netted after the break from Mark Denny’s pass.
Matt Godwin added Woodley’s fourth goal late on.
