OLIVIA Webster, from City of Oxford claimed a five gold medals in the latest round of the Oxfordshire & North Bucks Championships in Aylesbury.

The 11 year-old triumphed in the 200m individual medley, 50m butterfly, the 50m, 100m and 200m freestyle.

Her clubmate Sarah Gould, 15, had the distinction of winning both the junior (under 16) and open championships in the girls’ 50m backstroke.

City of Oxford’s Jack Gosden-Kaye, won the boys’ 200m freestyle junior championship.

Alex Murphy, of Didcot Barramundi, had another excellent event.

Murphy, 16, set one open and three county age group records in the 50m freestyle, 50m breaststroke – bettering his own British record – and 200m breaststroke.

Murphy also won the breaststroke in the junior and open categories.

His 50m time was a championship open record.

He also took both the open and junior titles in the 200m breaststroke and the junior crown in the 50m freestyle.

Clubmate Oliver Beard’s 50m breaststroke gold medal also came in a championship record for 12-year-olds.

He also scooped a gold for 100m individual medley (IM).

Bicester Blue Fins’ Georgia Tagg was runner-up in both the 50m backstroke junior and openchampionships.

Chris Aust, of Kidlington & Gosford, came second in the 50m breaststroke open championship and third in the 100m individual medley.

Emily Ford, of Abingdon Vale, won four gold medals – and smashed county and club records in all four – in her first county championships.

The nine-year-old won the 50m butterfly in 36.32secs, the 200m IM in 3.03.28, the 50m backstroke in 37.98 and the 200m backstroke in 2.58.33.

Clubmate Niall O’Leary took gold in the 100m backstroke and was runner-up in the overall junior championship for the event.

Daniella Springett, of Wantage White Horses, won gold in the 100m breaststroke, and in doing so, came second in both the junior and open championships and gained her first National Qualifying time for 2012.

The 14-year-old also won gold in the 50m butterfly.
