MIKE Ford will be looking to learn from his own mistakes as he takes his Oxford City side to Premier Division promotion rivals Stourbridge tomorrow.
City lost at home to the West Midlands club last month, and Ford admitted he got it wrong on that occasion. City’s boss said: “We lost 2-1 and a couple of things stick out for me. We looked quite flat on the night and I had contemplated making changes before the game and I didn’t and should have done.
“And then at half-time I changed our shape a little bit to try and win the game and that didn’t help us either, so you learn all the time.
“You have to accept as a manager when you don’t play well or win that you are partly responsible.”
City, buoyed by reaching the Oxfordshire Senior Cup final with a last-gasp 2-1 win at Ardley United on Tuesday, wait on the availability of striker Aaron Woodley, who was missing in midweek due to illness.
Oxford City: from Mooney, Clarke, Blossom, Ballard, Pond, Willmott, Benjamin, Malone, Basham, Woodley Isaac, Lyon, Learoyd, Barcelos, Bell, Martin.
