Vikings A won 3-2 at home to Premier Section leaders Kennington Club to keep their title hopes alive in the Johnsons Buildbase Oxford League, writes PETE EWINS.
Alan Lacey won the opening leg forVikings 5,930-4,040 over Mark Trafford, before Kennington hit back through Steven Sheard, who beat Bob Allsworth 6,670-4,930, and Ian Gordon, who saw off Mike Jones 6,730-1,850.
Alan Oliver squared the match at 2-2 after scoring 13,120, including a break of 8,050, to beat Pauline Withey.
And Ian Moss secured the winning point by beating Kevin Godfrey 9,880-2,880, including a break of 9,600.
West Oxford Democrats Club still have an eye on the Section 1 crown after a 4-1 home victory over Masons A.
Eddie Tebby (3,410), Billy Hill (4,300), John Patey (4,100) and Terry Green were on target for Democrats, with Mick Murphy (2,560) replying.
Section 3 leaders Gladiators Club B went down 3-2 at Headington Conservative Club.
