CHINNOR could end up relying on Oxford Harlequins to secure their title hopes.
And with Quins battling to avoid relegation, both clubs may not have their destinies confirmed before the final Saturday of the National 3 South West season, April 21, when Quins host Chinnor’s title rivals Bournemouth.
Should Chinnor go into their match against Chippenham behind Bournemouth, then they will need to win and hope Quins take points off the Dorset club.
Both sides, however, have their fate in their own hands.
Bonus-point victories in their remaining matches will guarantee Chinnor, who trail Bouremouth by five points with a game in hand, the title.
Quins need at least three more wins to be sure of pipping Amersham & Chiltern for survival.
Quins manager Steve Chadbone said: “All we can do is keep winning.”
