OXFORDSHIRE’S hopes of progressing in the National Under 20 Championship ended with a 58-13 defeat to Berkshire at Henley.
The hosts had needed to win their final South West Region A match to progress to the quarter-finals, but Berks never looked like losing on Sunday.
Oxon trailed 25-6 at the break and 51-6 after 67 minutes.
Chinnor lock Kevin McAlister crashed over for Oxon’s solitary try, while clubmate and fly half Will Millett added two penalties and a conversion.
Full back Isaac Kibirige (3), left wing Will Rasbridge (2), right wing Dom Goslings, fly half Jack Harrison and flanker Tom Vooght bagged Berkshire’s tries.
Scrum half James Brooks kicked two penalties and five conversions, while centre Seb Lear converted Vooght’s try.
