OXFORD MAIL GIRLS LEAGUE
IT was honours even in the Under 16 League title showdown as Oxford City drew 1-1 at home to Carterton.
Carterton stay three points clear, but City have a game in hand and a better goal difference.
An own goal from a corner saw Carterton take the lead, but Leah McLennon equalised for the hosts before half-time.
Summertown Stars suffered a 23-0 defeat to Swindon Town, whose goalscorers were Pia Donaldson (6), Hannah Donovan (5), Natalie Evans (3), Kerry Hester (3), Michaela Vitale (2), Sarah Humphreys (pen), Brin Gallager, Mia Wolozsczynska and Olivia Longstaff.
Under 15
April England’s brace helped title challengers St Edmunds defeat Chinnor 4-2.
Anna Jiminez and Ellice Rourke also netted in the victory, while Elle Kaplicz and Hayley Cruickshanks scored for Chinnor.
Keownie Steptoe grabbed the only goal as Kennington defeated Didcot Casuals 1-0.
Under 13
Megan Rayment’s strike earned Summertown Stars a 1-0 at Stonesfield Strikers.
Kidlington maintained their unbeaten record with a 2-0 victory over Bardwell with goals from Cloe Woodward and Zoe Chung.
Leaders Didcot Casuals saw off Carterton 4-0, with Isla Nugent grabbing a brace.
Ailie Lynn and Becci Bostock also netted.
Oxford City kept up the pace in second with their own 4-0 success, this time over third-placed Swindon Spitfires.
Lauren Page (2), Iona Smith and Shelley Knight were on target for City.
Under 12
Edie Stillwell-Garrett fired a hat-trick in Didcot Casuals’ 6-3 League Cup semi-final victory over Kidlington. Katie Miller (2) and Molly Dyer also scored, with Milly Simmonds (2), Abi Haynes netting for Kidlington.
Under 10
Amanda Osardo and Ella Gorringe earned unbeaten Oxford City a 2-0 win at home to Kidlington in the Winter-Spring League.
A goal from Daisey Grover was enough to give Wantage a 1-0 victory over Tower Hill.
