Struggling Witney Town enjoyed their first win of 2012 in the Uhlsport Hellenic League Premier Division with a surprise 2-1 success at Slimbridge.
Witney’s goals came from Andy Younie and Tom Austin after Michael Bryant had given Slimbridge a first-half lead.
Abingdon Town slumped 2-0 away to Reading Town in a lacklustre display.
The home side netted two first-half goals through a 20-yard snap-shot by Ben Gladwin and a penalty from Graham Lewis, awarded against Adam Lovegrove for handball in an otherwise dour game.
Thame United recorded a 3-0 win over Flackwell Heath with goals from Dan West, James Faulkner and Louis Cordice.
Kidlington went down 4-0 away to Ascot United, all of whose goals came in a 17-minute spell in the second half – two each from Eric Kusi and Zac Spencer.
Shrivenham drew 2-2 with Fairford Town.
Nathan Gambling and Ashley Taylor scored for Fairford.
Paul Sanders and Martin Stratford replied for Shrivenham.
