The Oxford & District League Division 2 showdown between the two top teams was an anti-climax as Bicester B thrashed leaders Vikings D 8-2.

Vikings could only muster two players and paid a heavy price as Bicester completed an easy win to close to six points with a game in hand.

Holton A enter the final straight of the Division 1 season with an eight-point lead over Vikings A after beating Forum C 10-0.

However, with the second-placed side having two matches in hand, it is still tantalisingly close at the top.

Bicester C remain level on points with Forum F in Division 3 after both sides enjoyed 10-0 and 9-1 victories this week.

In Division 4, St James beat Holton B 6-4 to retain their top spot, with Vikings G reclaiming second place after beating clubmates Vikings G 9-1 and Forum K 8-2.
