The Injured Jockeys Fund meeting at Oxford Stadium in August is gathering pace, with a football match between the Sky Sports presenters and a Jockeys XI also taking place to raise funds.
Alex Hammond, Paul Merson and Matt Le Tissier are already pencilled in to take on the likes of AP McCoy, Mick Fitzgerald and Carl Llewellyn.
More importantly, however, is the search for race sponsors for what it’s hoped will be an all-trophy card.
For £1,000, sponsors get dinner for four, a track banner, page in the programme and photo to mark the occasion.
Interested parties should contact Steve Martin on 07958 616831 or email Steve@murphy956.freeserve.
PUNTERS should save a little cash for the final race on tonight’s card when the Richard Yeates-trained Malbay Elite looks a tasty nap in the A4.
Add Pennys Castro and Future Mixer for the forecasts.
