IT'S an upside down world for young members of the Abingdon Gymnastics Club as they celebrate the club's 30th birthday.
There are 110 members including pre-school children and there is a five-year waiting list to join the club.
Members meet every Monday, Wednesday and Saturday in the Barker Gym at Radley College under the guidance of senior coaches Maureen and Dave Lock plus a small army of volunteers coaches and parents.
The club also trains children from the age of five upwards at recreational level at the White Horse Leisure & Tennis Centre in Abingdon Senior club member Sara Smith said: "We have made big strides in 30 years. We have competitive squad gymnasts and those who take part just for pleasure.
"We are based at Radley College, but would like to have our own premises.
"So far though we have not been successful in finding anything suitable. We have to go out of the county to Maidenhead for county competitions."
