North Leigh’s stunning winning run faces its biggest test when they entertain Evo-Stik Southern League Division 1 South & West leaders Bideford Town tomorrow.
Mark Gee’s side have won ten of their last 11 games to move within one place of the play-offs.
“The key to our recent success has been having settled side,” said boss Gee, who true to form, names an unchanged squad to face Bideford.
When the teams met in North Devon earlier this season, Gee found himself on the bench because of injuries.
“Luckily, I didn’t have to come on,” he said.
“Bideford have the best away record in the league, so we’ll have to be at our best to stop them.”
Abingdon United, in contrast, have not won since Boxing Day.
They entertain Wimborne, who are one place below them.
But boss Richie Bourne is still not confident following injuries to his small squad.
Bourne is hopeful that Michael Buck and Aaron Parfitt, who missed the midweek defeat at Halesowen, could be fit to face Wimborne.
Striker Dave Seaward, who upset Bourne by being unavailable for two away games, played twice in the last seven days.
“I still plan to speak to him, to sort out the position,” explained Bourne.
