CHINNOR head coach Jason Bowers said he is facing a “nice selection problem” ahead of tomorrow’s National 3 South West clash at home to Barnstaple.
With Mark Chase, who has scored nine tries in his last three games and Pip Seymour returning, Bowers has four players vying for wing spots.
“It is probably the most challenging of positions to select at the moment because we have Tom Gray, Tristan Corpe, Pip Seymour and Mark Chase in there,” said Bowers.
“With these four all available and playing good rugby, it is a really nice selection problem to try and get the best combination for the team.”
Bowers added: “Barnstaple will be a bring a strong, physical challenge.”
No 8 Alex Powell returns for Oxford Harlequins’ crunch relegation battle at home to Old Redcliffians.
Powell missed last week’s 25-17 victory over Weston-super-Mare with a dead leg.
Flanker Sione Vaiom’ounga is able to play because his sending-off against Weston came for two technical offences, for which there is no automatic suspension.
Redcliffians are nine points ahead of Quins with a game in hand, so a victory would leave them very well placed – and Quins in the mire.
Quins manager Steve Chadbone said: “The way we started last week was probably the best we have done all season.
“We were frustrated not to get a bonus point.
“This is probably our strongest squad, which it needs to be now.
“We scored 45 points at Redcliffians and are certainly a lot stronger outfit now.
“We want a five-point win, nothing else will do now.”
Quins visit Henley Hawks in the Oxfordshire Cup semi-finals on Tuesday when Chadbone said they would largely be selecting fringe players.
Ben Ashmore and Simon Perry could make their Henley Hawks debuts at home to Southend in National 2 South.
Former Wasps apprentice Ashmore and ex-rugby league man Perry are expected to provide back-row and backs cover on the bench respectively.
Lock James Winterbottom should return after a family illness, but Ali James is unavailable, so Danny Wells partners Tom Allen in the centre.
Paul Trendell is expected to start at full back.
Witney have named an unchanged side for their South West 1 East clash at home to fourth-placed Cheltenham.
Centre Carl Strutt returns on the bench after scoring two tries for the seconds last week.
