A penalty apiece from Cambridge lock Julie Valade and Oxford fly half Beth O’Brien made it 3-3 at half-time.

O’Brien slotted another penalty after the break, but saw her clearance charged down by Cambridge captain and No 8 Keno Omu, who won the chase to score.
