JASON Hallett’s double helped Marston Saints destroy Premier Division rivals Garsington 4-0 in the President’s Cup semi-finals.

All the goals came in the second half, with Hallett slamming home the opener for the hosts from Tom Payne’s right-wing cross.

Marston then hit three goals in quick succession, with Mark Gaul’s cracking strike followed by Hallett’s second as he chased down the Garsington keeper before shooting into an empty net.

Captain John Hudson sealed Marston’s victory with a shot from the edge of the box after good set up play from Gaul.

Marston’s opponents will be Riverside after they won 2-0 at Division 1 rivals Kidlington Old Boys.

Jefferson Harriot headed Riverside in front from a free-kick after 20 minutes.

Kidlington had their chances to equalise, but were unable to take them and Riverside broke out from an Old Boys corner in the last minute for Ben Green to shoot into an empty net.

Lewis Stayte’s double helped Stonesfield Res post their first win of the season with a 3-2 victory at Bletchingdon Res in the Ivor Gubbins Cup quarter-finals.

Stonesfield twice led through Peter Miller’s mis-hit shot and Stayte, only for Gary Wiggins and Ian Roberts to level for Bletchingdon.

But Stayte’s second, from the penalty spot, saw Stonesfield through.

North Oxford Res shared the goals around as they swept aside Marston Saints Res 5-1.

Bruno Freitas, Brian Shields and James Bruce fired the hosts into a 3-0 half-time lead.

Kiran Patel pulled one back for Marston, but late goals from Curtis Stevens and Lee Trinder clinched North’s victory.
