OXFORDSHIRE SENIOR LEAGUE
Adderbury Park went top of the Premier Division with a 2-0 home win over Bletchingdon. Mark Essex’s superb header gave Adderbury the lead on the hour, and Ashley Wingrove’s late strike sealed the points.
Oxford University Press moved into second spot with a 2-0 win over Stonesfield at Jordan Hill.
Lee Keyes tapped home Neil Lockhart’s cross at the far post to fire Press ahead eight minutes into the second half.
And five minutes later, Rui De Garce’s 25-yard drive beat Stonesfield keeper Chris Days. Kennington’s title hopes suffered a setback with a 2-1 home defeat by Oxford Irish.
Tobin Conway’s 20-yard drive gave Irish the lead, which Mark Scanes doubled from the penalty spot before the break after he was brought down.
Rob Cattell pulled one back in the 70th minute.
Paul Connelly grabbed the winner as Middleton Cheney marched on at the top of Division 1 with a 2-1 win at Yarnton.
Chris Heritage had given Cheney the lead, before Mark Harper equalised.
Anthony Davidson and Vinnie Barrett bagged braces as Charlton United came from behind to avenge win 4-3 at home to Oakley.
Arron Woods (2) and skipper Chris Davies netted for Oakley.
