Sholing 4
(Mason 51, Gibbens 58, McLean 73, James 90)
Didcot Tn 0
Didcot Town were swept aside as a rampant Sholing fired a four-goal blitz in the second half of their Evo-Stik Southern League Division 1 South & West clash.
The Railwaymen weren’t helped when Lee Henderson limped out of the game after ten minutes.
However, it gave new signing Chris Owens, from AFC Hayes, the chance to make an assured debut.
Didcot keeper Jon Henly saved twice from Marvin McLean early on, before denying Nick Watts and Byron Mason.
Tom Mudge brought a diving save from Mike Hookway, who then foiled Anaclet Odhiambo.
But Sholing took charge after the break. Mason slotted home on 51 minutes, before Sholing skipper Kevin Gibbens headed past Henly seven minutes later.
McLean deservedly got on the scoresheet in the 73rd minute, and Sam James added a fourth deep into stoppage time.
