Oxford City Nomads took over at the top of the Uhlsport Hellenic League Premier Division on goal difference following a 1-0 home win over Highworth Town.
James Dobson’s penalty on the stroke of half-time proved decisive.
Previous leaders Ardley United were held to a 1-1 draw at Cheltenham Saracens.
Ryan Brooks slid the ball home for his 36th goal of the season in the 61st minute, but Michael Rhodes equal-ised 15 minutes from time.
Abingdon Town were left to rue Mark Janes’s penalty miss in first-half stoppage time as they drew 1-1 at home to Flackwell Heath.
The visitors were leading at the time through Danny Jordan’s 18th-minute penalty awarded for handball against Jamie Mundy.
But Kieran Davis equalised on the hour to give Abingdon a point.
Tom Butler’s header two minutes from time earned Wantage Town a point in a 2-2 draw at Henley Town.
Gavin Jones had given Wantage a seventh-minute lead, but Henley hit back though David Hoar’s rasping volley after 31 minutes and Adam Jeffrey’s goal in the 58th minute.
Shane Davis’s brace earned Shrivenham a 2-2 draw at home to Holyport.
Davis’s goals in the 45th and 56th minutes, were sandwiched in between Jamie Handscomb’s sixth-minute strike and Lee Hawkins’s 79th-minute leveller. Kidlington’s poor form continued with a 2-0 defeat at Wokingham & Embrook.
Goals from Matt Jones and Sam Whiting did the damage.
