Banbury United 1, Tonbridge Angels 2
BANBURY'S hopes of a money-spinning run were shattered when they crashed out in their second qualifying round replay at Spencer Stadium.
With striker Howard Forinton already consigned to the bench with a hamstring strain, Banbury's preparations were thrown into disarray when goalkeeper Alan Judge joined him with an Achilles problem.
Andy Baird was denied by a great save from Tonbridge keeper Aaron Kerr in the opening exchanges.
But then the visitors took the lead in the 13th minute when goalkeeper Milan Barisic, standing in for the injured Alan Judge, dropped Fraser Logan's corner and Scott Kinch tapped home.
Substitute Daniel Szczukiewich equalised for Banbury with his first touch in the 75th minute, but Jon Main grabbed Tonbridge's winner seven minutes from time.
Banbury Utd: Barisic, Pond, Kinch, Blossom, Hayward (Szczukiewich 75), Fuller, Stanbridge (Bridges 65), Redknap, McSporran, Baird, Gardner. Subs not used: Sullivan, Judge, Forinton.
- Attendance: 518.
- Referee: P Forrester (Luton).
