Oxford Harlequins went second in South West 1 with an impressive 30-0 victory against Bracknell.
Having shown their expansive qualities in their first three games, this victory was based on defence and a fantastic forward effort.
Locks David Payne and Tit Hocevar stood out in an impressive pack and if Quins can maintain this intensity, they could mount a serious title challenge.
Bracknell have now lost four out of four since dropping down from National 3 and offered very little once their forward fire had been extinguished.
Their fly half Ben Nowak missed two fairly simple penalties in an attritional opening quarter, while Quins full back Will Tuffley (pictured) made no mistake from the ten-metre line in between.
Quins won plenty of ball, notably from Payne in the lineout, but couldn't yet make their pressure count.
Brackell captain Sam Nowak was sin-binned on 32 minutes.
Quin's right wing Stuart McLure should have scored two minutes later, but lacked composure.
Soon after, some quick hands in midfield allowed left wing Elio Recchia the space to run in for a simple try.
Tuffley added the conversion to make it 10-0.
Heavy rain led to some tricky handling early in the second half.
Tuffley was just forced out by Bracknell full back Mike Morris after intercepting and running from his own 22.
Skipper Gustafson got in on the interception act himself, but his looped pass narrowly eluded Recchia.
Recchia was lucky to escape the sin-bin on 59 minutes after diving over the top.
And to make things worse for Bracknell, he showed good strength to notch try No 2 four minutes later after a break from Tuffley.
More Quins tries looked likely as Bracknell tired and even a yellow card for home scrum half Anthony Cope couldn't stop the flow.
Replacement hooker Simon Chadbone went close with a powerful left wing run before Gustafson bagged their third score from a driving maul.
Bracknell scrum half Jamie O'Driscoll joined his opposite number in the bin on 77 minutes.
Tuffley slotted a long-range penalty to make it 23-0 in stoppage time.
Anthony Cope was denied a try due to Tuffley's forward pass, but he converted with the last action of the match after replacement flanker Ali Cradock was driven over.
