Oxford Utd 2 (Pittman 12, Duberry 89), Hereford Utd 2 (Duberry og 32, Duberry og 85) MICHAEL Duberry hit an 89th-minute equaliser - having earlier scored two own goals - as Oxford United drew 2-2 against Hereford today.

In a dramatic conclusion to the League Two clash, it looked like United were going to slip to another defeat against lower-league opposition when Duberry headed past Ryan Clarke with five minutes remaining to make it 2-1 to Hereford.

But the defender popped up in the box with a minute remaining to sidefoot home an equaliser.

However, while his goal salvaged a point, this was a game that Oxford should have won.

After last week's 1-0 defeat at the hands of Crewe, hopes were high that United could get back to winning ways against Hereford, who started the game just two places above the relegation zone.

And things looked good for Oxford when Jon-Paul Pittman fired them into a 12th-minute lead.

The striker bagged his third goal in four games with a cracking left-foot strike from 25 yards.

However, the visitors equalised on 32 minutes when Joe Colbeck was left in acres of space down the left, and from his cross, Duberry slid in to try and clear the danger, but the United defender could only turn the ball into his own net.

United went all-out for the winner, but could not find another way past keeper Adam Bartlett.

The keeper made a series of fine saves, with other opportunites being missed as Oxford looked for a winning goal.

When Duberry turned in another Colbeck cross into his own net, it looked like another smash-and-grab victory for a visiting side.

However, the former Chelsea man made amends when he netted in front of the Oxford Mail stand to equalise.
