Oxford City Stars coach Darryl Morvan has a selection dilemma over who to leave out in tomorrow's English National South League Division battle against Romford Spitfires.

He will be without Andrew Cox, who sustained an injury in Stars' brave fight with Streatham Redskins two weeks ago when they lost 4-2.

Morvan said: "I'm sure a lot of coaches would kill to have a large squad to select from.

"But it's never easy, being an ex-player myself, deciding who should dress for the game, and then having to tell the players that haven't been selected.

"All of the squad are working tremendously hard, and all of them are desperate to suit up to play, so as you can imagine those that don't get selected are obviously very disappointed.

"It shows the tremendous spirit that players that aren't selected still come to games to help their teammates.

"The numbers in the squad give us resilience, and also keep an atmosphere of competition for places on the team, which is never a bad thing."

He added: "I was very pleased with the way our game developed against Streatham, and that progress has continued at practice."

This is the first year for Romford Spitfires, who are the second team for Romford with their first team being in the Premier League.

Morvan said: "Romford have good coaching staff so it won't be easy.

"But Stars have been training very hard with extra ice time over the last two weeks, and they are hungry for their first win."
