Promoted Oxford Hawks made an excellent start to their Women's South League season with a 4-2 victory at Wimbledon 1A in their Division 1 debut - Emma Batten smashing all four goals.
Twice Batten put Hawks ahead, only to see the hosts draw level.
But two minutes from time Batten completed her hat-trick, before making it 4-2 just before the final whistle.
Rover Oxford also opened the season with a fine away win, beating Woking 1A 5-3 in Surrey.
West Witney began their Division 2 campaign with a 3-0 win over Sunbury.
The hosts only started with eight players due to traffic problems, and Witney took advantage, Sandie Anderson, Becky Stack and Becky Dean were on target.
Oxfordshire's Under 19 men got off to a flier in the Southern Counties Chamionship against last year's runners-up and winners.
They beat Sussex 4-1 then drew 1-1 with Surrey.
Goals from Rhys Cadman, Johny Taylor, Tim Craven and Tim Atkin saw off Sussex, and Craven struck again against Surrey.
