EDDIE Pepperell will be gunning for glory in the Faldo Series final at Celtic Manor next week.
The 15-year-old Frilford Heath member is one of the favourites to land the boys' under 15 crown after some impressive summer showings including winning the Frilford Heath Gold Medal.
But his rivals include Oscar Sharpe, who pipped Pepperell for the English Boys' under 16 title at Worthing in July.
The Faldo Series was established by Nick Faldo in 1996 and also offers finalists seminars on topics ranging from course management to diet and fitness.
Faldo, who will host the event, said: "I launched the Faldo Series to identify and nurture the next generation of champions.
"I believe some of these players will go on to challenge for major honours at a global level, advancing the cause of European golf worldwide.
"Above all, I hope every competitor emerges as a more rounded individual who appreciates the rules, traditions and spirit of this great game.
"I look forward to meeting the finalists at Celtic Manor and watching the competition unfold."
Promising finalists have gone on to join Team Faldo - a group who receive additional support and advice from Europe's most successful golfer.
*FORMER Frilford member Tom Lawson, now at Ellesborough, finished joint second in the English County Championship at Woodhall Spa's Hotchkin Course.
