HENLEY Hawks made it three wins in a row for the first time since March 2003 with a 34-23 home victory over Cambridge in National 2.
And Henley's director of rugby Jon Lambden felt everything went according to plan.
He said: "The time to win games is in the second half and this is the strategy that we are pursuing."
As against Harrogate a fortnight earlier, Hawks turned round with a narrow lead, on this occasion 10-9.
By the 61st minute they led 31-9 and in scoring four tries they had earned a bonus point.
No 8 Dave Archer gave Henley a cracking start with a try inside six minutes, Mitch Burton converting.
Three penalties from fly half Daffyd Lewis put Cambridge ahead while centre James Shanahan knocked on trying to touch down a try.
Burton, who didn't miss a kick, made it 10-9 with a penalty.
Cambridge were knocked aside by a determined Hawks assault in the first ten minutes of the second half and conceded a penalty try, which Burton con- verted.
Henley centres Chaska Loubser and Luke Burns combined for the latter to touch down under the posts.
Burton converted, but Henley lost some momentum after captain Liam Wordley was sin-binned.
However, they conjured up the best try of the match when scrum half James Gaunt's darting run opened the gate for Archer to slice through near the posts.
Cambridge prop James Ross and No 8 Glen Remnant both touched down late on, the latter after Henley loose-head Andy Le Chevalier had received his first ever yellow card.
Lewis converted both, but Hawks full back Adam Slade completed the scoring with an 80th-minute penalty.
